Be 2 Weeks Ready is a community-based program that helps people prepare for emergencies alongside their friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers. It is organized into eight user-friendly lessons and an activity book (Tool Kit) filled with helpful hints, fun projects and resources to help you prepare for a disaster. You can do one section at a time, at your own pace or join a group facilitated by a volunteer Community Host. We use the term “community” to refer to any group made up of individuals. One person can be a part of many different communities and can help those communities to Be 2 Weeks Ready.
The program is delivered by volunteer Community Hosts who facilitate the learning sessions using the Tool Kit. These volunteer Community Hosts receive orientation training to facilitate the program and are appointed by the Be 2 Weeks Ready Program Coordinator.
